Nine Months

At 9 months William:
-scooches around the house like greased lightening, now if he'd only lift that belly off the ground...
-discovered shadows. he tried picking up his shadow off the kitchen floor, he also babbled at his shadow on the wall today....too much cuteness for me to handle
-tried homemade pancakes one time (one of the few things I can actually cook) and decided they are the most amazing food on the face of the earth. he couldn't get them in his mouth fast enough
-has 1.5 teeth. i'm eagerly awaiting that second tooth's arrival so i can have my sweet, happy boy back!
-is starting to have "big boy" hair

william frequently becomes manic when he's very tired... as of right now we enjoy it :)

Today we went to a shower for my cousin Sarah, her boyfriend Andrew and their new baby, Liam. Will was all tuckered out from the fun.

Four generations of Shanki (which I have decided is the plural form of Shankus)

Grandma Shankus with a very small sampling of her grandkids and great-grandkids. (Baby Liam on the far right is great grand-baby #23!)

Hands on Museum!

Will took his first trip to the Hands on Museum with his good buddy, Myles. Fun ensued!

 mmm....beads

I love that the Hands on Museum has a baby area, and the actually enforce keeping big kids out of it! Mini rant alert: parents, it's not funny or cute when your 4 year old plays in the baby area.... anywhere. If I hear one more parent at the library tell their big kid they are being "so silly" for taking a toy from Will, I'm probably going to lose my brain. Correcting your child for doing something they shouldn't makes  you look like a much better parent than coddling them to avoid possible tears. End of rant.

I managed to get a (very blurry) picture of Will's first tooth! I know you've been dying to see it. :)

Myles hanging out at the light table. Such a big guy!

 Cutest firefighters I've ever seen.
