Kittens!

On Tuesday I found a kitten under my house... it's kind of a long story. I took the little gal in (no, I am not a crazy person who steals kittens from their mother, I am 99% sure this kitten was abandoned) and ran up to Meijer at 12:30 at night to get it some baby food - the kitten doesn't have any teeth yet and more than one website recommended chicken baby food. I can only imagine what I looked like, waddling through Meijer, 5 months pregnant, in my pajamas, buying baby food... I've become the people I always judge :)

Wednesday, my sister graciously brought over some things for the kitten and said "is there another kitten under your house? I hear squeaking outside." Sure 'nuf, another kitten. I'm actually really glad we found another kitten for two reasons:
1. We were contemplating keeping kitten number one, now that there are two of them there is no way we can keep them (a very tiny house with a dog, three cats and a baby just sounds like a recipe for disaster). I am actually sad we can't keep the kitten now, but it's for the best :)
2. Kitten number one is so much happier now that she has her litter mate back, they snuggle and play together all the time.

We've decided to keep them until they are a little older as they are so much work right now. They need fed and need help going potty, they eat every few hours, they cry... a lot. Dave is working nights right now, so it's so perfect that he's home during the day to help take care of them.

Marley and Voldy are.... less than thrilled about the kittens. I've actually seen Voldy hiss and growl for the first time ever since we've gotten him. It makes me feel sad.

For now, there will be many cute kitten pictures on my blog.
